Virgin Islands Yacht Charter Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in St. Thomas to be met by your Captain and escorted to your yacht at one of the marinas. Take advantage of the duty free shopping or immediately leave for a one hour cruise to St. John. Anchor off in one of the lovely bays and enjoy tropical waters and an amazing view as the sun sets over the stern of your charter yacht.

Day 2: Explore ashore on the white sand beaches or snorkel the many reefs in warm tropical clear water. Watch the sea turtles feeding or birds diving from the red cliffs. Continue on to the island of Tortola to find the British Virgin Islands only a half an hour away from St. John. Time to get out the water skis and waverunners for some good times!

Day 3: Cruise to your new favorite island; Norman, Peter, or Cooper Islands are close by for great anchorages, gorgeous private beaches, plush resorts, and beautiful vistas everywhere.

Day 4: Another short hop and you arrive at Virgin Gorda, the eastern most island. Named by Columbus on one of his voyages of discovery, it is filled with areas of interest. Whether marinas with access to shopping or anchorages away from it all, you will find what you like on Virgin Gorda. On the South end of the island is The Baths where enormous boulders are piled upon each other making cathedrals of rock to explore.

Some of the island attractions were developed by Rock Resorts owned by the Rockefeller family. Little Dix Bay, a resort, Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor and the open air shopping mall located there are worth seeing and experiencing. All of these are worth a stop after a trip to the Baths.

Day 5: Cruise to the north end of Virgin Gorda to North Sound where a perfectly protected anchorage awaits you. There are exquisite resorts and hidden beaches both on the island. The best Pina Colada is found at the world famous Bitter End Yacht Club where the public is always welcome.

Day 6: Time to head south to Jost van Dyke Island where small family-owned restaurants await the boaters to come ashore and enjoy wonderful island hospitality.

Day 7: Return to St. Thomas wonderfully relaxed and refreshed from your yacht charter vacation. Maybe you can get in some last minute shopping!
